70 in Dog Years

Great mountain water makes great beer!

We’ve had a running theme for our annual “beerversary” of aging in dog years and here we are now officially 10 years established! The year is 2024 and the BC craft beer industry is still reeling post-pandemic. In 2020, hospitality businesses were shut down for months. Upon re-opening taprooms adapted to requirements with social distancing, barriers, masking, bubbles, personal QR codes, and expanded outdoor seating. These contortions were made to the implement these very anti-social tools in effort to re-establish our very social human behaviour of gathering in community. This may seem like a surreal distant memory now but this abrupt halt and pivot to beer-making created lasting social and economic ripple effects felt throughout the industry. In the meantime, these past few years, Three Ranges has been chipping away at an expansion to upgrade from our original 3hL brewhouse to a 10hL. We have completed a building addition to house more production space, for electrical, mechanical, and milling. Our 35 in dog years update included the phrase “it has been a fight the whole way,” and that still rings true. Our favourite things, other than a delicious hoppy beer, are to see the smiles on the faces of our staff and customers, and stories shared after a good day’s work or adventures in the mountains. Our goal is to continue to offer the place and the pints to facilitate this vision

Cheers,

Rundi and Michael
